2019 - 4th of July Parade
"Celebrating the City of Darien's 50th Birthday!"
The Darien Lions Club sponsors the 4th of July Parade for the enjoyment of all Darien residents and visitors.
Announcers were on hand to describe all of the Parade's entries at the main reviewing stand, and trophies were presented to the winning entries.
The parade participants will lineup in the Jewel parking lot at 75th and Cass Ave.
Spectators line the sides of the streets on the city/public easement.
- Please be respectful of a resident's property frontage.
- Portable seating and/or a refreshment is recommended.
The parade will proceed north on Cass Avenue to 71st Street.
At 71st Street the parade will head east until Clarendon Hills Road
At Clarendon Hills Road the parade will go south toward the end point at Hinsdale South High School.

On behalf of the Darien Lions Club, I’m pleased to invite you to participate in our 49th annual Independence Day Parade.
Come and help us show our appreciation for all groups and individuals that work so hard to make both the United States and Darien terrific places to live.
Parade entrants will assemble in the Jewel Parking lot beginning at 8:15am for the parade lineup. The parade will begin PROMPTLY at 9:30am and follow the parade route described above. It will be the responsibility of each participant to provide their own vehicle for the Parade. Signs for vehicles will be provided only for officials from the City of Darien and Lions Club Honorees. All other participants are expected to provide signage for their own entry. It is recommended that parade participants provide water bottles or any refreshments of their choosing for anyone representing their organization. As you know the 4th of July can be very hot so please make sure that your members are hydrated. No water will be provided to parade participants by the Lions Club.
All entrants must complete and submit a Parade Application form and return a signed copy acknowledging the Parade Rules to the parade chairman by June 23rd. Please complete the form with your comments for the Master of Ceremonies to read when passing the Reviewing Stand in the parade. This year we are asking for VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS to help offset our Parade costs.
Mail your check payable to DARIEN LIONS CLUB and enclose with your signed Parade Application and Rules Form.
