Kaitlin
Montes is a student who stands out at Downers Grove South High
School. She has shown
great enthusiasm in whatever she undertakes.
Kaitlin
has shown her commitment to Downers South High School through her
participation in volleyball, Snowball, working as an aide in the
Dean’s office, and even serving as a leader in the DARE program
for two years. She has
shown an aptitude in Art, exemplified by her talent and creativity.
Yet, Kaitlin
excels beyond what might be listed on paper as qualifications and
descriptors. Essentially and most importantly, her character is evidenced
through her positive outlook, her courage and her perseverance.
In November of 2003, Kaitlin tragically lost one of her
sisters to cancer. Still
she attended school regularly, maintained her positive and pleasant
demeanor, and worked with her usual diligence.
Kaitlin plans to
attend Loyola University. Her fine character traits and her
outstanding work ethic will make her successful during her college
career.
