Fellow Lions and Friends:

 

Here is a great way to support the DLC Foundation without donating a dime.  I am sure many of you have heard of Jewel’s Shop & Share Days.  This event has taken place in many of our local schools, churches, scouts and other organizations that raise funds for a great cause.  Here is how it works in 3 easy steps:

 

1)      Print a Shop & Share Coupon (above)

2)      Go do your regular grocery shopping at any Jewel Food Store on the selected dates listed on the coupon

3)      At the checkout, present the coupon to the cashier and Jewel will then donate 5% of your total purchases (excluding sales tax) in a check to the Darien Lions Club Foundation

 

Doesn’t get any easier than that!  This program is good for product purchases only.  Items excluded are gift cards, fuel, tobacco, liquor, stamps, money orders, lottery tickets & sales tax.  You can go to our website www.darienlions.org and download a coupon.  Forward this email to all your friends, neighbors, co-workers, family members etc., and all of their purchases will also help us.  People can shop at any Jewel/Osco.  The only restriction is that we may NOT stand outside of a Jewel and hand these coupons out to people; they must be given to customers before they are on any property of a Jewel/Osco location. 

 

The May dates are the last of three months in the Jewel Shop & Share campaign for our Club.  Please tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and everyone you know to help us out with his fundraiser.  We all have to shop for ourselves, so the more you spend on your own personal needs, the more Jewel gives back to us.  It is a great way to support the Foundation without writing a check.  If you have any questions, please contact me at 630-935-3066 or jimmel@sbcglobal.net .
