The Darien Lions Club sponsors the 4th of July Parade for the enjoyment of all Darien residents and visitors.  This year's event was held on Saturday, July 3rd, 2010, stepping off from Hinsdale South High School at 75th Street and Clarendon Hills Road. The parade route headed North on Clarendon Hills Road to Plainfield Road, then Southwest to 75th Street, then West past Cass Avenue and ended at Eisenhower Jr. High School.

Shown at left are this year's announcers Ed Burjek and Tom Belczak who described all of the Parade's entries at the main reviewing stand.  Kerry Spitznagle presented trophies to the winning entries.

.  At the end of the parade, ice cream cones were available to all, compliments of the Darien Lions Club. Many of our costs are underwritten through donations from local organizations, businesses, and individuals.  And we certainly appreciate the involvement of the Darien Police who provide traffic control.
