37th Annual Pancake Breakfast 2008

The Darien Lions Club will be hosting it's 37th annual Pancake Breakfast this spring.  This year it will be held on Sunday, March 16^th.  Breakfast will be served from
7am-1pm at Eisenhower Junior High School, on 75th Street just west of Cass Avenue. 

Our all-you-can-eat menu includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice, milk and coffee.  

Tickets can be purchased in advance from any Club member at $4.00 each.  Tickets at the door will be $5.00.  Children 5-and-under eat free.  

This year the Darien Lions will have special services available to all that attend.  A vision and hearing test will be available to you through the Lions of Illinois Foundation.  The Nurse station will return, where a Registered Nurse is available to answer questions about drugs/medications and healthcare issues in general and offer you a blood pressure check.  These tests may be an indicator if you have a potential problem waiting for your future.  All these services are at no-cost.  

As in the past, breakfast patrons can bring in their old eyeglasses, hearing aids and keys to help those in need.  We are also collecting ink or toner cartridges and cell phones this year.  Lions International has established various programs for these items..."SO OTHERS CAN SEE."

Every year, we service over 1,000 people..  We'll also have our 50/50 Split-the-Pot Raffle which says it all.  We gave out two $50 prizes and split the pot with one lucky winner last year.  Everyone had a great time.
